History and Mission
Founded in 1983 by Dr. Paula Shaw, Ph.D., Altos Federal Group (Altos) has grown to become a company of highly qualified professionals dedicated to providing dependable, high quality, and effective healthcare, administrative, human resource and recruitment solutions. For more than 25 years, Altos has been a distinguished provider of full scale healthcare and administrative staffing for the government, most notably for the Department of Defense, as an integral part of their military healthcare system.
As a minority, woman-owned company, Altos graduated from the 8(a) program to become one of the fastest growing staffing firms in the country. Through organic growth and strategic partnerships, we have strengthened our national presence and have positioned ourselves as a premier medical staffing and human services company. We currently provide more than 300 FTE professionals from across the continuum of care at more than 30 government facilities and agencies across the United States.
