Family Practice and Internal Medicine Physicians

Family Practice & Internal Medicine Physicians needed to provide assessments, evaluation and Plan of Care, for Warriors in Transition assigned or attached to Community Based Warrior Transition Unit (CBWTU) in North Atlantic Regional Medical Command Area of Operations (NARMC AO), medical readiness processing and screening and support of CBWTU in the performance of a variety of health care services, which include but are not limited to clinical oversight regarding the care for Warriors in Transition (WTs) assigned to CBWTU, Periodic Health Assessments (PHA), Post-Deployment Health Assessment (PDHA) and Post-Deployment Health Reassessment (PDHRA).
Screening activities to be performed will be used to assess soldiers’ general and specific health status post deployment, document health status using appropriate Military Health System (MHS) forms and automated information systems, direct medical care through the Case Managers and coordinate with Primary Care Physician (PCM) referrals to appropriate specialists for additional screening or treatment and provide appropriate medical services.
Providers hired under this contract will perform services at Community Based Health Care Organizations in one of the following States:
- Concord & Ft. Devens, Massachusetts
- Virginia Beach, Virginia
- Rock Island, Illinois
Family Medicine Physician
Education: Shall be a Doctor or Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), must have completed an ACGME accredited residency in family medicine, or be American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board-eligible or certified in family medicine. Foreign medical graduates shall possess a valid certificate from the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must have and maintain a current medical license in the state that the services will be performed. Must maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration number.
Experience: Have been continuously employed in the practice of medicine or in training for at least 1 year. Clinical experience diagnosing and treating primary care conditions and knowledge of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and related conditions.
Internal Medicine Physician
Education: Shall be a Doctor or Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), must have completed an ACGME accredited residency in internal medicine, or be American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board-eligible or certified in internal medicine. Foreign medical graduates shall possess a valid certificate from the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must have and maintain a current medical license in the state that the services will be performed. Must maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration number.
Experience: Have been continuously employed in the practice of medicine or in training for at least 1 year. Clinical experience diagnosing and treating primary care conditions and knowledge of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and related conditions.
General Medicine Physician
Education: Shall be a Doctor or Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), must have completed an ACGME accredited residency in general medicine, or be American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board-eligible or certified in general medicine. Foreign medical graduates shall possess a valid certificate from the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates.
Licensure/Certification/Registration Must have and maintain a current medical license in the state that the services will be performed. Must maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration number.
Experience: Have been continuously employed in the practice of medicine or in training for the one year prior to commencement of services under this contract. Knowledge of military medicine, physical profiling and the Physical Disability Evaluation System (PDES) as well as Flight Surgeon experience is preferable. Clinical experience diagnosing and treating primary care conditions and knowledge of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and related conditions is advantageous.
Basic Life Support Training: All providers must possess and maintain current course completion documentation for basic life support (BLS) through an American Heart Association and/or Red Cross approved training program.
